Writing about my Ancestral Grandmothers

I have been researching my family history since the late 1980s and have to this day many journals and notebooks on my research and today I found those very helpful in writing about my ancestral grandmothers.

I started a journal listing every grandmother I have all the way back to the Lairds of Hunterston and the wives of those lairds. One of my favorite families is that of John Huntar, 14th Laird of Hunterston and his wife Margaret Cathcart.
The Cathcart lineage is very easy to find because she was the youngest daughter of the 2nd Laird of Cathcart and the data is very well documented.

My notebooks are many. You should see the one I have on my research from Stirnet.com! My notebook is completely full of surnames, maps, and wonderful documentation. I just love it when I confirm the marriage dates. It sure makes the research very easy when you have the exact dates.
